Our mission is to foster a spirit of cooperation and understanding among our members and to create opportunities that drive value to members and their respective organizations by hosting high-engagement events. These events provide each member with a deep and supportive network of contacts within the investment industry. 

We collaborate with other associations and groups serving the investment industry, delivering enhanced value and opportunities for WAVE members.

From the dot-com boom and bust to the Great Financial Crisis and through a global pandemic, WAVE has been driving value to women in the investment community for over 20 years and has developed a reputation for consistently hosting high-quality events.

WAVE invites, embraces and leverages not only GPs and LPs, but also select service providers, portfolio company management, banks and other members of the community who provide thought leadership, referrals and high-quality services to further our collective investment theses. WAVE has built a nationwide network of over 25,000 women who drive value to each other.

With a myriad of choices and limited time, WAVE strives to host unique events that foster meaningful connections, building a community of trust that ultimately drives value for every organization represented.

While certain events are tailored to specific career stages, WAVE welcomes women at every point in their professional journey—including undergraduate and graduate students, early‑career and junior women, senior and C‑suite leaders, and women in their encore careers.

Unlike some women's networking groups focused on one industry segment, WAVE is industry agnostic.
