Join WAVE for the fourth annual Career Forum, an opportunity for students and recent graduates interested in a career in alternative investments to learn, engage and network with industry veterans and continue to expand the "pipeline" of talented women in our industry.

The gender gap in alternative investments is pronounced. The WAVE virtual Career Forum seeks to provide a platform for young women looking to enter the private equity and venture capital industries to learn, engage and network with industry veterans while helping employers source diverse talent.

Our full agenda can be viewed at the bottom of this page, under Documents. Attendees are welcome to confirm participation in the virtual fitness classes available at 10am ET on both Thursday November 12 and Friday November 13.

10:00a ET on November 12th, BandeTogether: This fitness segment is a team-based class where groups will have an opportunity to  compete with each other on completing various exercises for a fun and intense workout; modifications will be offered and all levels are welcome.

10:00a ET on November 13th, The Bar Method: The Bar Method is a barre based workout that combines isometrics, dance conditioning, physical therapy, and interval training for a challenging and unique workout.

Given the high volume of applications that WAVE received for this event, WAVE cannot provide feedback on submissions that were not accepted. All resumes (including those not selected for in-person attendance) will be included in a resume book provided to sponsors.

THE VIRTUAL CAREER FORUM PROVIDES:
Networking: Unparalleled access and networking opportunities between leading professionals from a variety of institutions across the alternative investment industry and a select group of female scholars and young professionals who range from undergraduates to 3 years post graduate school.

Promoting: The Forum Expo permits one-on-one interaction with attendees, provides a valuable opportunity to those organizations looking to recruit candidates or share information about their organization.

Interaction: Roundtables led by panelists, sponsor representatives and industry veterans to provide direct interaction and targeted conversation with attendees and Forum Scholars.

Marketing: Increased brand recognition through event cross-promotion and marketing materials.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Any organization in the investment industry that is looking to hire and/or interact with enthusiastic, qualified and highly educated women. The conference attendees who are participating as female scholars will be pre-screened. The scholars will have backgrounds ranging from undergraduates through 3 years post graduate (including analysts/associates from investment banks, management consulting firms, accountants, lawyers, operators, marketers, etc.)

2019 FORUM STATISTICS:
- 602 candidates applied from 70+ universities from the United States, Canada and Europe
- 55 Expo tables and 600 registered attendees
- 280 students attended; 75% from out of the NYC area
- The generosity of our sponsors allowed for a hotel room and travel stipend for the out of town students
